NFC 2019 will once more host an Art Show. The Art Show hosts a variety of art in the broadest sense of the word, all available for bids. If an item gets enough bids, it will go to the live auction. Artists have the option to have a percentage of the bids go towards our charity. Each bidsheet will tell you how much of the profits will go to charity, so bid generously!
Bidding during the Art Show: Bidders must register as a bidder at the Art Show and will receive a sticker sheet with their unique bidding number. To bid on an item, write down your bid on one of your stickers and put it on the item’s bid sheet. Please note that by entering your bid, you enter a legal contract to pay the amount bid if you are the winner of the auction. Once the auction closes please ensure you have the winning bid on you in cash (SEK). Bidding during live auction: Please have your badge number ready when bidding in the live auction so the auctioneer can register your bid.
If you wish to submit a piece for the Art Show, all you have to do is submit your art pieces by logging in to your NordicFuzzCon account and selecting “art show submission”. Please note the deadline for submitting your pieces is February 15th. After this date, the submission form closes. Note that NFC provides you with hooks to hang your art. It’s the artist’s responsibility to ensure the art can be hung to the hooks securely. NFC is not responsible for any damages to art that wasn’t hung securely. Please do not use any other materials than the hooks provided (no screws, tape, nails etc.) to avoid damaging the panels.
Yes, but note we cannot allow any art portraying acts forbidden by Swedish law. The Art Show team can deny items if they are not in accordance with Swedish law or NFC’s rules. Furthermore, NFC’s Art Show team can deny items at their discretion if the piece of art is deemed inappropriate for NFC.
Anything appealing to our attendees not just limited to drawn art. This includes sculpture, fursuits and jewellery. If you are unsure, feel free to email us at [email protected]
The Art Show is only for attendees of NFC. NFC cannot be responsible for your items nor can NFC be your agent.
