No fuss, just fuzz — try the FuzzBus™!
By the FuzzBus
Do you want to take it easy and travel in style from Arlanda Airport or Stockholm Central Station? Then the FuzzBus™ may be just what you're looking for!
The bus will take you directly from the pickup points at Alanda Airport or Stockholm Central Station to the front doors of both our main venue hotel (Utsikten Meetings) and our second hotel (Nynäsgården). No need to find alternative routes or try to navigate through any scary Swedish road obstacles on the way, our driver does that for you! You will not have to carry your heavy luggage from the train station nor change trains/buses/boats/pogo sticks/whatever, but simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride with your fellow furs.
The price for a single fare (in either direction) is 125 SEK. This is the same price as from the Airport to the hotel with the Commuter Train. The difference is the company and style in which you travel.

By Bus
Various companies such as Swebus and bus4you offer long-distance bus services to Stockholm from different cities in Sweden as well as from other cities in Europe. The main bus terminal is right next to Stockholm Central Station (see By Train below).
Commuter traffic bot: www.resrobot.se (First click the suitcase marked "Reseplanerare", then use the little Union Jack or German flag icon on the right to change the language.) Your target station is Nynäsgård, Nynäshamn. Target address is Utsiktsvägen 10.
By Train
Stockholm – as the major city in Sweden – offers rail connections all over the country. There are also several trains running direct connections from Copenhagen and Oslo every day.
From Stockholm Central Station, take the commuter train going towards Nynäshamn / Västerhaninge (J35). Only about half of the departures go all the way to Nynäshamn; the rest just go halfway, to Västerhaninge. The final stop is usually displayed on the signs on the trains and on the platform. Get off the train at Nynäsgård station (not Nynäshamn!) and follow the instructions for By Foot below. If you miss your train stop, it doubles back and you can either opt to follow the walking instructions in By Boat below, or calmly wait until the train returns and get off at the next stop after leaving Nynäshamn station, which is again Nynäsgård station.
Long distance trains: sj.se
Commuter trains: sl.se – also metro and buses – look for SL Center or Pressbyrån for tickets.

By Plane
Stockholm is mainly served by three airports: Stockholm Arlanda [ARN] (the main international airport north of the city), Stockholm Bromma [BMA] (closer to the center and mainly serving destinations in Scandinavia) and Stockholm Skavsta [NYO] (low cost carriers – think Ryanair). Momondo lists airplane connections to Sweden.
From Arlanda there are SL commuter trains (see above) to Stockholm Central Station (Stockholm C). Note that you will need to switch trains to get to Nynäshamn, but it's possible and recommended to buy a single ticket at the airport for the whole journey. Ask for directions for and tickets to Nynäshamn at the Arlanda Central desk in SkyCity between terminals 4 and 5. Conveniently, the train from Arlanda to Stockholm C usually stops at the same platform as the train from Stockholm C towards Nynäshamn. Arlanda is also served by both Arlanda Express trains and airport buses to Stockholm C.
Bromma is served by SL buses (see above) and airport buses to Stockholm C. For SL tickets, look for Pressbyrån shops with the SL sign, these need to be bought before boarding the bus. Consider buying a ticket for the whole journey to Nynäshamn.
Skavsta is served by the airport buses.
By Foot from the Train Station
Walk in the opposite direction the train arrived in, towards the bridge and past the bicycle stand. Do not cross the tracks, but take right and follow the road towards the petrol station. There is a hot dog shack directly beside it in case of severe starvation. Walk along the road, pass the roundabout and towards the ELON store, which is an electronics store where you might be able to find adapters and phone chargers. Continuing along the road you will find a pizzeria and an Indian restaurant on the right side of the road, and a Thai restaurant on your left. Turn left immediately after the Thai restaurant onto Vårfruvägen, which has a clearly visible sign. Continue straight, past the red shield saying "Frälsningsarmén" (The Salvation Army) until you reach a sign for "Utsiken Hotell och Konferens" pointing towards Utsiktsvägen. The sign is on your left, cleverly hidden behind a bush; if you pass the crest and begin to walk downhill you've walked too far. Follow the sign (take right) and go straight to the top of the hill, where the building with the long green roof is Utsikten Meetings and NFC. The walk takes about 8 minutes.
The walk to the second hotel adds another 850 metres. Do not turn right off of Vårfruvägen at the sign. Instead, continue over the hill and down the other side. Continue downhill until you encounter the larger Telegrafgatan. Follow it to the left. Keep walking for 500 metres until you see a large building on your left. The sign for Nynäsgården becomes visible after when you have passed a few buildings, but the hotel itself is hard to miss. When the road narrows just after you've walked uphill you will find the hotel entrance to your left.
Please see the following map for the route from the train station to the main hotel:

By Boat
Since Stockholm is a city close to the Baltic sea you can also travel by boat. Stockholm offers ferry connections to Helsinki, Mariehamn, Turku, Tallinn, Riga, and St. Petersburg. From the different ferry terminals, take public transportation to the main station (Centralen) and then follow the instructions as per By Train above. There are also ferries from Ventspils and Gdansk that take you directly to Nynäshamn.
There is a 2.0 km walk, uphill, from the Nynäshamn harbour to the hotel (see below), so a taxi might be a nice but costly idea.
By Foot from the Harbour
This is a trek of almost 3 km. (Slightly shorter routes exist, but are not recommended as they have more twists and turns and are partially unpaved.) Alternatively, a taxi from the port to the hotel should cost about 130 SEK, or 90 SEK if the hotel front desk orders it for you; see the section on taxi travel.
Cross road 73 and follow it along the dock till you see a Lidl (large supermarket) in front of you. Then turn left on Nynäsvägen. You should come directly to a roundabout. Follow Nynäsvägen for a long stretch (650 m). You should pass a Willys (another supermarket) on your left and then a park. The park ends at an Indian restaurant, with a Thai restaurant on the opposite (right-hand) side. Turn right onto the road just before the restaurants. This is Vårfruvägen, it has a clearly visible sign. (If you come to another roundabout and a gas station you have walked too far.) Follow Vårfruvägen past the Salvation Army until you come to a sign for Utsikten. The sign is on your left, cleverly hidden behind a bush; if you pass the crest and begin to walk downhill you've walked too far. Follow the sign (take right) to the top of the hill, where where the building with the long green roof is Utsikten Meetings and NFC.

By Car
Travelling from Arlanda Airport or from the north: Take the E4 south towards Stockholm. Keep left to stay on the E4, merging with E20, and simply follow it around Stockholm. Use the left two lanes to take exit 155 towards Nynäshamn/Route 73/Årsta/Älvsjö/Route 22/Route 226, but look for the sign for Nynäshamn. Drive into the tunnel and continue on route 75 until you reach exit 4, which lets you turn onto Route 73 towards Nynäshamn. Keep left to continue towards Nynäsvägen/Route 73.
Travelling from the south: Drive to Södertälje, then take the motorway just after Södertälje to the right (direction Nynäshamn, road 225). Follow that road until it merges with Route 73.
Once you are driving on Route 73 and getting close to Nynäshamn: When you pass over a large road at Trafikplats Norvik continue ahead (do not turn right here), but get ready! The next crossing will be a four-way crossing, preceded by an overhead sign showing that the road to Nynäsgården and Utsikten is to the right. Turn right onto Industrivägen at this crossing. (If you come into an industrial area you have turned to the left instead of right, so double back. If you come to the harbour you have not turned at the right time, either turn right onto Nynäsvägen or go back the way you came.) Once on Industrivägen immediately turn right onto Telegrafgatan. (If you pass the back side of a mall you have driven too far.)
To get to the main hotel: Follow Telegrafgatan until you can turn left onto Vårfruvägen. It is the first obvious exit. Follow it until you see a tiny sign up towards Utsiktsvägen. It is the first exit to the right. This road takes you straight to the main hotel Utsikten Meetings at the top of the hill. Parking will be on your left, but you can drive up to the entrance and drop things off first.
To get to the secondary hotel: Do not turn left onto Vårfruvägen when on Telegrafgatan, but continue straight ahead. The hotel is a large, yellow building located on your left at the top of a small incline, where the road becomes a little bit narrower. Be careful, as the visibility is not great for a left-hand turn. (If you begin to go downhill, you've missed the final turn.)
By Taxi
Please note that taxi prices in Sweden are unregulated, so to avoid nasty surprises make sure you know the approximate price of the journey before getting into the car. Taxis are required to post their rates for a 15-minute journey clearly, so look for the yellow signs in the car's rear side window. The rate from Stockholm Central station should be about 800 SEK and from the airport 1345 SEK. Going by FuzzBus or public transportation from these locations is significantly cheaper. If there's a queue of taxis waiting for customers you do not have to take the first car in line, you can look for a cheaper one. Visit Stockholm has more information.
The price for a taxi between the hotels, and also from and to the port or train stop (Nynäsgården), is 90 SEK if ordered through the hotel's front desk. So contact them when you know you need a taxi and they will arrange one for you. If you contact Haninge Nynäs Taxi (+46 8-520 111 11) yourself, the cost will be higher.
